Overview

The New York State Education Department (NYSED) is seeking proposals for a comprehensive statewide multi-media campaign to promote the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) to low income families.  The vendor would be responsible for developing an impressive statewide multi-media campaign that advertises the availability of nutritious meals for anyone 18 years old and younger during the summer months at no cost through the SFSP.

Subcontracting/Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE)

Subcontracting will be limited to thirty percent (30%) of the total contract budget. Subcontracting is defined as non-employee direct personal services and related incidental expenses, including travel.  For the purposes of this RFP, this definition does not include costs associated with the printing and placement of campaign deliverables on buses, trains, and billboards.

Bidders are required to comply with NYSED’s Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) participation goals for this RFP through one of three methods. Compliance methods are discussed in detail in the Minority/Women-Owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Participation Goals section below.

Terms of Contract

NYSED will award one (1) contract pursuant to this RFP. The contract resulting from this RFP will be for a term of one (1) year, anticipated to begin April 1, 2017 and end March 31, 2018, with the option of up to four (4) one-year renewals.
